Will A Real Man Please Stand Up
Every woman, intuitively, biologically is seeking a man she is secure with and who is comfortable in his own skin and quality, attractive women specially are desperate for men whose lives are focused, balanced and on some purpose.
But today's topic is a horse of another color and really not about being the man for a woman, who by some bad luck we need too much.
And besides, in the words of some trooper, lead the men...the women will follow.
So, “are you sick of being a ninety-eight-pound weakling, always getting sand kicked in your face?” This was the original call-to-arms to guys out there that had enough of being the weak guy, the last one in line with nothing to show for.
Of course, at the time these ads became popular, advertisers were promoting a gooey green weight gain formula to make you the big guy on the beach that got all the chicks. Today, we call it becoming the ALPHA MALE. And it’s a hell more than getting a tan and riding one devil of a bike.
In nature, the alpha male is the leader of the pack. He’s seen as the toughest, the smartest and whether you’re talking guns, babes or martinis, the alpha is the go-to guy. Again I’m not talking of a caveman clubbing a cavewoman on the head and dragging back to his cave. Quite the opposite. In fact, he’s strong but sensitive on one hand and has a firm grasp of reality on the other. Others look up to him, follow his lead, heed his advice and trust his decision. That does not mean, he’s not given to anger, emotion or weakness. It simply means that he does not let anyone see him sweat.
But as most men have no idea where they're going, what they want to do with their lives or even what they want to be, that’s the area to start if you want to improve your situation in life.
Oh and it’s not impossible, dude. Many have done it before you. The secret lies in the willingness to first accept yourself as you are, strengths and weaknesses and then a burning desire to work towards a healthy ideal for yourself.
The best advice I got was to ask myself two questions– the first, “Where am I going?” and second, "Who will go with me?" and if you get these two questions in the wrong order, you’re in trouble. So, get your internal beliefs in line. They need to be congruent. There can be no internal conflict. You must become internally validated.
Understand this: all men die but not all live. The boy in you must die for the man to live. Therefore you must keep death in mind daily and to do this in a way that will be help, you’ll need to overcome fear of death and fear of pain leading to death. And when you overcome the fear of death and the fear of physical pain leading to death, you have proven to yourself that you can overcome the biggest fear in life. Then go past the level of overcoming your fear of death to embracing the reality of death and being familiar with that thought and once you familiarize yourself and address your issues around it, it will become a source of strength, peace and happiness to you.
That is when you can walk the earth and say you’re a man and you no longer apologize that. For the opposite of fear is not courage. It is the absence of fear. And you can tell the leaders from the ones with arrows sticking out of their backs!
